I absolutely adore travel… globetrotting… popping in on spaces and places. I wonder if a wanderlust is something one is born with? cultivated? encouraged?

I began some years ago reading about expats and folks living abroad, far from home, and I found it fascinating, intriguing, curious…

James Baldwin and his writing was for sure inspirational in my finding a feeling for wanting to move. Here is an article in the Paris Review that I am about to read at this moment. I believe it entails information too of the civil rights movement in the states… It seems as if it will be educational…

I just thought I would share a little doing. I hope you are well dear reader… and that Spring greets you warmly and sweetly and in a good space!

Experiment With Change…

When we find ourselves in the midst of difficulty and/or a painful situation… take a break. Remove ourselves from the thing that makes it difficult. This way, from a distance, we can see more clearly… feel more clearly and approach solutions refreshed and with clarity. We can experiment with change.

I had this thought at this moment that I would like to see the film Lawrence of Arabia again. I saw it when I was a kid and didn’t really get it. Knowing a bit more these days, I hope, it would be good to see it again I’m thinking. The film has not changed. It is still the same. It is me that that has changed… and to see it through the lens of who I have become at this moment will for sure be a new experience. In light of my little knowings of what westerners call the middle east… I’d like to see it and see what it looks like. Ideally too, I would like to see and learn more from perspectives that are not western. This too will create a space for even more learning from an authentic perspective… If you happen upon this post let me know what you think. I am sure I can learn from your opinions. Thank you…
