the bots

what is it about art… that can move us? said simply, I know. I saw last night on television a band of two, two brothers making music. the bots! I was struck by how young they are. my mind marveled watching them, they are so young, I thought. the music is pretty good. they were dressed ‘strangely.’ two young beautiful men dressed like a teenage girl from the eighties, I was thinking. okay not quite, but not far, to tell the truth. intriguing! I enjoyed the music. respect for such success at such a young age. my mind reeled.

(they don’t like when people refer to their ages. but, when they are older, they will know the significance and strength in what they are doing. most people live their whole lives… trying to find themselves. they’ve stumbled upon something they love and like and are good at early. this too is a gift in connection to the hard work they’ve put in. well done.)

curious, I wanted to know more. I did some research, incredible how long they have been making music. it looks like they’ve been on the scene more than ten years. and they are like somewhere between eighteen and twenty two, I think. there is very little about them personally. mostly what one can find on google is about their music. just as it should be, in my opinion.

i’m fond of the way they blow my mind. not that their music is mind blowing. it is good, though. just their whole authentic approach to beauty and art and good energy and really good music. and I suspect they will continue to grow and create even more cool music as time passes. and I say it’s all authentic because you can see that they’ve been doing it since they were little. I really mean little, like since they were about eleven years old or before. incredible. i’ll shut up now.

almost. it’s just that I am in awe, and always moved by beauty and art and their approach to life. cool music… and I am reminded that life is not a dress rehearsal. wear your clothes that you like, the way you like to. play your music, write your stories, dance…
